All the doValue websites support the Zero Impact Web project
The doValue Group compensates for the carbon dioxide emissions resulting from visits to their websites by helping to protect growing forests and contributing to the fight against global warming.
Notwithstanding the fact that it has done a lot to reduce CO2 emissions, even the Internet causes pollution. According to a Greenpeace report, at the current rate of growth, by 2020 data centres and telecommunication networks will consume about 2,000 billion kilowatts of electricity, more than three times their current consumption.
This is why the Group's websites support the Zero Impact Web®, project of LifeGate which enables the reduction of environmental impact caused by use of the internet. In this way, the Group offsets carbon dioxide emissions relating to visits to its websites by contributing to the creation and protection of growing forests.
Results achieved in 2024
The partnership with LifeGate represents a concrete commitment for doValue to reforestation, aimed at combating global warming.
Every small action, if adopted by many, can have a positive impact on the environment and can help raising awareness, even when navigating web pages.
Together with the LifeGate project, we can make a difference.
The emissions attributed to 2024 amount to 2,160 kg of CO2 and they have been offset through carbon credits generated by contributing to the conservation and protection of 1,610 m² of growing forests within the Madagascar project.
